..."Gotta Take Every Chance"...

"Under pressure find the grace, or would you come undone?"
-Never Let Go, Bryan Adams
Summary: It started with a parachuting trip in Australia. After it was over, Troy Bolton decided that he wanted to do that over and over again. Three years later, he finds himself working for the Coastguard.

Gabriella Montez was moments away from making the US Olympic swim team when a phone call changed everything. Eighteen months later, she's a rookie on Troy Bolton's Coastguard team.

Gabriella is determined to prove herself. Troy is determined to to push her as far as she can go. They make choices, they save lives, and they fall in love. They try to keep each other alive.

You do these intense stories well, especially when their careers are involved. There's a hint of "From Blood" in this, so if you do decide to post it, be careful not to overlap themes/ideas/story lines. This would be different than a lot of the stuff that's out there, and I think you would do well at pulling it off.

It shares similar ideas as From Blood as far as the whole rescue scenarios and emotional impacts. I did plan to reveal Gabriella's past right off the bat and it wasn't going to be as traumatic as From Blood. More like she made a choice to skip the Olympic trials for something she considered more important and missed her shot and is now trying to make it up to herself by following a path she likes to think is more worthy. My biggest obstacle with this story which is why is hasn't been developed beyond a few scenes is that in order for them not to be classmates in coast guard college, they have to either be student and instructor which I hate the idea of, or teammates past training. So that leaves all their interactions to be high adrenaline or slow.
